Business Support Page

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all coping well with this very unusual period of self-isolation. I am getting bombarded with information for businesses to help them through Covid-19 and have chosen the following items that I think may be helpful to our MILFORD businesses.

Some of these items come for partners we have due to our BID (Business Improvement District) status as a business association. In particular, The Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Business Mentors, ATEED (Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development) and EMA (Employers & Manufacturers Association).

THE LATEST - read NOW!!  (21st April 2019)

Are you going to be trading next week at Level 3?

I am compiling a list of all MILFORD businesses that will be operating in some form or other next week. I intend to publicise which businesses the public will be able to buy products from, albeit, in a contactless manner.

Maybe you already have an on-line store or online meal ordering system. If you don't there are a range of options you can use either through your business networks or online. A simple site to use is Shopify - free for the 1st month and a range of options after that. Mailchimp are also offering a free website package if you set up a domain with them. Plus there was the offer from local shore-based Zeald of 500 FREE websites they had available - again, there will be some conditions.

The current listings on our website have very few websites and no details on your fb or instagram pages.

If you are going to be making an offer to MILFORD customers next week, I need to know which media you will be using and what the offer is. I have included a form for you to fill out so I have a record of your media types and I will use this as the basis for the list of businesses that I will publicise. Add any special notes/deals with the replying email.

Update form for fb, inst & website

Keeping in Contact with MILFORD Customers

To keep customers in contact with MILFORD, we have designed a 4 week (at this stage) promotional calender. Each week we will be inviting customers to enter a Facebook engagement competition to win a prize and therefore interacting with our milfordshops brand.  No data will be collected – it’s just something fun to keep people engaged.

We have some prizes on hand, plus we have worked with Sarah from New World to create an Easter Hamper as one of the prizes.

Tango Shoes have produced a lovely story line of how the company came into existence and I will be including this item as it has that ‘can-do-it’ attitude.
